Tropical Storm Nicholas: Here's which roads are closed due to flooding
Flooding and road closures are expected throughout Monday due to Tropical Storm Nicholas.
Along with rain, residents in the Coastal Bend can expect heavy rain for the next few days.
The Texas Department of Transportation momentarily considered shutting down a key section of state Highway 286 because of flooding. Northbound lanes of the highway detour to U.S. Highway 181 and Staples Street were set to be closed as of 8:30 a.m.

As of 9:30 a.m., the agency had reversed the decision.
Motorists were able to travel through the Interstate Highway 37 and Highway 286 interchange, but were advised to exercise caution.
